Romy Keane

Romy is a forensic toxicologist and research officer at ChemCentre’s Forensic Science Laboratories, where she previously specialized in developing mass spectrometry methods for small-molecule analysis. Currently in the final year of her PhD, she is part of an industry collaboration between ChemCentre and Edith Cowan University, focusing on developing proteomic workflows for forensic applications. Her research aims to refine and implement proteomics-based methodologies for biomolecular identification, bridging the gap between traditional forensic chemistry and emerging omics technologies. Through this work, she contributes to advancing forensic science by enhancing analytical techniques for more precise and reliable forensic investigations.
