Laurie Favre
Hello, I am a scientist in the Fresh Food Metabolism team in the Postharvest group at Plant and Food Research. My current interests are understanding, modelling and predicting metabolism and mechanisms associated with or driving change in fruit quality through the supply chain. My research aims at helping horticultural industries to reduce postharvest losses and to deliver premium quality fruit to the world market.
By training I am a food engineer and have a PhD in biochemistry from the university of Toulon in France. I have been working with Plant & Food Research in New Zealand since 2018 and my area of expertise includes biomarker discovery using metabolomics, transcriptomics and multi-omics analysis.
