Maddy MJ Jiang
Maddy Jiang is a PhD candidate at the University of Adelaide. She is also employed at the Australia wine research institute, where she developed her research expertise in understanding the chemical composition of grape and wine following smoke exposure. To further her interest and deepen her understanding of the mechanisms by which smoke-derived compounds are transformed and stored within grape berries after smoke exposure, she began her PhD journey investigating the glycosylation of smoke-derived compounds in grapes. Her research aims to contribute to the development of more effective strategies for mitigating wildfire smoke taint in grapevines.
